Sir David W.C. Tang

Sir David W.C. Tang, KBE is a Hong Kong businessman and current Chairman and Founder of The Hong Kong Cancer Fund. He also serves as a director and advisor to a number of boards, including, acting as a Member of the Advisory Boards of Blackstone Group and British Airways. He is known as the founder of the Shanghai Tang fashion chain, which he sold in 2006.  Sir David Tang was decorated with the Chevalier de l'Ordre des Artes et des Lettres, by the French government in 1995 and he was conferred by Her Majesty the Queen, a Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire in 2008. Sir Tang holds an honours degree in philosophy from the University of London, and taught at Peking University in 1983.
